The Theater Cheat Sheet was created as part of the “Theater Made to Measure” project and is a free online publication for children and young people, as well as teachers, educators, parents, and anyone else who works with groups of children and young people. The cheat sheet serves as an introduction to the art of theater, a reminder of familiar and lesser-known concepts, and an aid when watching a play and in post-performance discussions/analysis.
The Theater Cheat Sheet is divided into three basic parts: Before the Play, In the Theater and After the Play, with all parts constantly being modified and added to.
Before the play: theater etiquette
In the theater: different professions in the theater, theater terms, common superstitions in the theater, what are we watching?
After the play: a questionnaire for analyzing theater performances
